The HWS1500-24 accepts a universal AC input from 85VAC to 265VAC at 47 - 63Hz, or a DC input from 120VDC to 330VDC. This wide range and built-in active PFC ensure high power factor and robust performance under fluctuating line conditions.

The HWS1500-24 integrates multiple protection mechanisms to safeguard both the supply and the load:
- Overvoltage protection (OVP)
- Overcurrent protection (OCP)
- Short-circuit protection (SCP)
- Overtemperature protection (OTP)
In each case, the unit will either shut down or limit current to prevent damage and will automatically attempt recovery when the fault clears.
- Remote On/Off allows you to enable or disable the output via an external TTL-level signal, for system-wide power sequencing.
- Remote Sense compensates for voltage drops in the load wiring by sensing the actual voltage at the load terminals and adjusting the output accordingly.
These features help maintain precise, reliable operation in distributed applications.
