The MCP73833 Li-Ion Battery Charging Evaluation Board has two circuits for evaluating various device options.
Charging voltage: 4.20 V Programmable fast charging current, up to 1000mA Discharge cell preconditioning: Preconditioning threshold voltage: 3.0 V Preconditioning current: 10% of programmable fast charging current Automatic with minimum current in constant voltage mode Automatically completes charging with a safe time interval of 6 hours Termination current: 7.5% of programmable fast charge current Automatic recharge: Threshold voltage: 4.05 V Cell temperature monitoring Charge current monitor for fuel gauge Thermal adjustment Reverse Discharge protection Evaluated in a 3mm x 3mm, 10-lead DFN package with high power handling capacity Simple standalone operation Powered from external bench supply or voltage regulated wall cube
