Grounded soldering irons used to solder electronic components require management of "tip temperature," "leak voltage," and "tip-to-ground resistance." The FG-101B allows you to switch measurement modes with the push of a button, enabling simple and accurate measurements.
Towards zero human error
1. AUTO HOLD function
Once the measurement value stabilizes, the measurement result is displayed as a fixed value and the measurement ends automatically, reducing measurement discrepancies due to differences between operators.
2. Infrared transmission function
The measurement results displayed on the LCD monitor can be transmitted to soldering irons (FN-1010, FX-971, FX-972, FX-805) and solder pots (FX-305) that have an infrared receiver.
Measurement with a long-life ultra-fine sensor
The ultra-fine sensor with good temperature response enables accurate measurement of the tip temperature in a short time.
Approximately 30 times longer life than conventional products
Stable measurement
The long-life sensor (product number AS5000) can measure temperatures over its estimated lifespan of 1,500 times without any change in measured temperature due to sensor deterioration, enabling stable measurements over a long period of time.
Smooth sensor attachment
The sensor now has a frame, which allows for smooth sensor attachment and reduces attachment time.

Maximum measured value is always displayed: MAX HOLD function (temperature measurement only)
The maximum measured tip temperature is always displayed, which can be used for quality control of components and circuit boards.
Temperature measurement count function (temperature measurement only)
Displays the number of times the tip temperature has been measured. This can be used for sensor replacement and process management.
AUTO ZERO function
Automatically corrects zero point error when measuring leakage voltage and tip-to-ground resistance. Press and hold the AUTO ZERO button and wait until the display returns to normal.
The temperature probe can measure temperatures other than the tip.
By using the optional temperature probe, it is possible to measure the temperature of solder baths and hot air, which cannot be measured directly.

We recommend that you use a soldering iron tester to measure the tip temperature, leakage voltage, and resistance to earth of station-type soldering irons for daily management.
Lead-free recommended: This product is also recommended for work using lead-free solder.
