Description

The LDTM-028K is a vibration sensor/switch composed of a 28 μm thick piezoelectric PVDF polymer film (piezo film) with electrodes screen-printed with silver ink. It is laminated to a 0.125mm polyester substrate and has two crimp terminals. When the laminated film element is bent, it creates a large strain in the piezopolymer and generates a high voltage. Because the neutral axis is on the laminate instead of the film, the film distorts more when bent. The device functions as a switch and the output can directly trigger MOSFETs or CMOS. It also works as an accelerometer or vibration sensor when vibrating in free space.
