1/ How do I change the torque setting?
Remove the lock pin, use the #931 adjustment key to rotate the end cap to the target Nm, then reinsert the lock pin.
2/ What does +/-3% accuracy mean?
The output torque will be within +/-3% of the set value. For a 3 Nm setting, actual torque will be 2.91 - 3.09 Nm.
3/ How often should I recalibrate?
After 1000 tightening cycles or every six months, whichever comes first. High-frequency use or harsh environments may require more frequent checks.
4/ Can I use it to loosen fasteners?
No. QSP3N4’s click mechanism is unidirectional. Using it in reverse may damage the internal clutch.
5/ Which fastener sizes are appropriate?
Ideal for M1.6 - M4 screws and small bolts in electronics, instrumentation, and precision assemblies.
6/ Why isn’t it clicking at the set torque?
Possible causes: degraded spring tension, dirt in the mechanism, or incorrect adjustment. Send for service if cleaning and re-setting do not restore click. Please contact QTE Technologies (qtetech.com/en).
7/ Can I swap heads or use extensions?
Only use 1/4″ sq. drive extensions rated for torque-wrench use. Avoid impact-rated extensions - they can alter delivered torque.
8/ How do I maintain it?
Wipe with a dry cloth after each use. Do not immerse in solvent. Lightly oil external surfaces, avoiding the click mechanism.
9/ What if it feels stiff or sticks?
Dirt or grit may have entered the clutch. Remove adjustment key, cycle through full range, then gently tap the handle to dislodge debris. If problem persists, return for repair.
10/ Is there a left-hand model?
QSP3N4 is right-hand only. For left-hand or reversible click-type needs, consult the QL or QSP-MH series.
11/ How do I verify its performance?
Use a calibrated torque tester or gauge. Test at 20%, 60%, and 100% of full scale to confirm accuracy.
