Optical Pulse Sensor
The BH1790GLC is a biometric optical sensor IC from ROHM Semiconductor. It integrates a photodiode and LED driver into a single package and detects pulse by detecting green light reflected from the skin. This device features excellent infrared filtering and high green light selectivity. Both the LED drive current and duty cycle are configurable. It can communicate with a compatible microcontroller via an I2C interface. Its primary applications include wearable devices, smartphones, and tablet PCs.
