The H3YN-2 AC100–120 V is a plug-in solid-state timer from OMRON’s H3YN series. It offers user-selectable time ranges, multiple operating modes, and a DPDT contact output for precise timing control in industrial automation applications.
The timer is rated for 100 to 120 VAC at 50/60 Hz. It operates reliably within 85 % to 110 % of the rated voltage. Reset voltage is 10 % max of the rated supply voltage.
This short-time-range model supports one selectable range from:
0.1 s to 10 s
1 s to 100 s (10 s max.)
0.1 min to 1 min
1 min to 10 min
Selection is made via the front-panel DIP switches.
You can choose between four modes with DIP switches:
ON-delay
Interval
Flicker OFF start
Flicker ON start
The H3YN-2 features a DPDT (2 CO) relay output. Contact ratings:
Resistive load: 5 A at 250 VAC (cos φ = 1)
Minimum applicable load: 1 mA at 5 VDC (P reference value)
Insert the timer into an 8-pin socket (e.g., PYF08A series).
Supply 100–120 VAC to pins A1 (phase) and A2 (neutral).
Connect your load between the COM, NO, and NC terminals according to the chosen mode.
Ensure all connections are tight to prevent contact resistance.

A hold-down clip (Y92H-3/Y92H-4) or flush adapter (Y92F-78) can secure the timer in high-vibration environments.

Select the desired range and mode using the DIP switches on the front.
Adjust the timing with the rotary knob; use a small flathead screwdriver for precision.
Lock the knob in place (if your socket offers a lock feature) to avoid accidental changes.
Most installations include two LEDs:
A green LED indicates when power is on and the timer is in its active period.
A red LED flashes or stays lit to show the timing cycle or that the output contacts are energized.

Periodically clean the timer and socket to remove dust or debris.
Verify tightness of all terminal connections.
Test each mode and range against a calibrated reference every 1 – 2 years.
Replace the timer after 5 – 7 years of continuous service or if timing accuracy drifts.
No power or LEDs off: verify line voltage, fuses, and wiring polarity.
Contacts fail to switch: check load rating and coil voltage; inspect for mechanical wear.
Timing inaccurate: confirm DIP switch settings and knob calibration; test with known reference.
