The SURE SG-31 is a 40 W handheld thermal cutter whose blade generates its own heat, allowing precise, dust-free cutting of materials like polystyrene foam, urethane sponge, nets, loops, PP tape and thin plastics without producing waste chips or fraying.
Rated voltage: AC 100 V
Power consumption: 40 W
Frequency: 50/60 Hz
Blade temperature
A-type: approx. 400 °C
I-type: approx. 500 °C
Dimensions (W × D × H): 129.5 × 58 × 167 mm
Weight: approx. 1.0 kg (including power cord)
Power cord length: 3 m
A-type blade (400 °C): standard for foam cutting
I-type blade (500 °C): ideal for nets, loops and tougher plastics
G-type and H-type blades: specialized shapes for net-only or loop-only cutting
C, D, F types and others: for cutting textile, acrylic threads, resin sheets, etc.
Quick-release driver bar design makes blade swaps tool-free
Securely fasten the chosen blade into the driver slot.
Plug into a properly grounded AC 100 V outlet.
Turn on the power switch and wait 30–60 seconds for the blade to reach operating temperature.
Feed the hot blade gently through the material at a consistent speed to achieve smooth, precise cuts.
After use, switch off, unplug and allow the blade to cool fully before storage.
Polystyrene foam (EPS, Styrofoam)
Urethane sponge and technical foam
Bubble wrap and nylon films
PP/PET tapes, sheets and loops
Nets, ropes and thin plastic tubing
These materials slice cleanly without fraying or dust generation.
Wear heat-resistant gloves, safety glasses and a dust-mask or respirator.
Never touch the blade during or immediately after operation.
Keep flammable materials and vapors away from the heat source.
Avoid kinking or stretching the power cord near the hot blade.
Operate in a well-ventilated area or under fume extraction to avoid inhaling off-gassing.
After each session, let the blade cool then brush or wipe off residue with a dry cloth.
Do not immerse the unit or use corrosive solvents.
Inspect the power cord, switch and connections monthly; replace immediately if insulation is damaged.
Store in a dry place away from direct sunlight or high humidity.
Blade won’t heat: verify outlet voltage, switch position and cord integrity.
Insufficient temperature: blade may be worn—replace or switch to a higher-temperature type.
Burning smell or smoke: stop immediately, let the blade cool, then clear built-up residue.
Unit shuts off unexpectedly: the heating element or switch may be faulty—seek authorized service.
