Description

  • Less likely to clog than general syringe filters, and can filter 3 to 7 times the amount
  • The three-layer pre-filter efficiently removes unwanted particles
  • Whatman GMF150 (multi-layer structure) and GF/F pre-filter prevent clogging
  • This syringe filter was developed for filtering solutions containing a large amount of suspended particles.
  • The prefilters are glass fiber filter paper GMF150 (multi-layer structure) and GF/F. With this prefilter, the GD/X can filter samples that were difficult to filter with conventional filters by simply applying light pressure with your hands, without worrying about contamination.
  • Note: For research and testing purposes only.
  • Instead of a membrane, various grades of glass fiber filter paper are built in. Pre-filter is only GMF150, there is no GF/F. Pore size is indicated by particle retention capacity.
  • GMF = Glass Fiber
  •
  • Housing material: Polypropylene (uncolored)
  • Filtration area: 4.6cm2
  • Pressure resistance: 75psi (5.2bar)
  • Residual volume: 1.4mL before air purge, approx. 250μl after air purge
  • Dimensions: 20.8mm x 29.8mm
  • Weight: Approx. 3g
  • Flow direction: Sample should be injected from the inlet side
  • Inlet: Female Luer lock
  • Outlet: Male lure
  • Sterilization: Autoclavable, 121°C, 15 psi for 20 minutes
  • Glass fiber: 100% borosilicate
  • Prefilter: GMF150 (10μm:1μm), GF/F (0.7μm)
  • Note: The borosilicate glass fiber prefilter is physically and chemically stable, but alkaline components may leach into aqueous solutions. pH-sensitive biological samples may be affected by the elution of trace amounts of alkaline components.
