Flo AGF-100 FR is a high-performance adhesive tape from Chukoh Chemical Industries. It uses PTFE-impregnated glass cloth as its base and a one-side silicone adhesive, combining non-stick, low-friction, chemical resistance, heat resistance, and electrical insulation properties.
The tape consists of a glass cloth substrate fully impregnated with fluoroplastic (Teflon™ PTFE) and coated on one side with heat-resistant, chemically resistant silicone adhesive. PE cores or release-paper versions are also available.
The standard product code is AGF-100 FR. The nominal total thickness is 0.15 mm, standard width is 150 mm, and length 10 m, wound on a 3-inch PE core. Custom widths up to 560 mm and other core options can be ordered.
For the 0.15 mm thickness, typical measured values are:
Adhesion (180° peel): 11 N/25 mm
Tensile strength: 530 N/25 mm
Dielectric breakdown voltage: 6 kV
Maximum continuous service temperature: 200 °C
AGF-100 FR is rated for continuous operation from -60 °C up to +200 °C, making it suitable for both deep-freeze processes and high-heat applications.
The tape is UL510A certified and complies with Japan’s Food Sanitation Act (effective June 2020). It also meets RoHS requirements for lead-free and halogen-free use when specified.
Typical uses include:
Release liners in heat sealers and vacuum packaging machines
Insulating wrap or protective cover in electrical and electronic assembly
Non-stick surfaces in resin molding and coating processes
Slip-resistant or wear-resistant protection in automated food or component handling lines
Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of oils or debris. Align the tape and press firmly with a roller or squeegee. To remove, peel back slowly at a 45°–90° angle to minimize adhesive residue.
Store in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ideal conditions are 5 °C–25 °C with relative humidity under 60%. Keep rolls in their original packaging until use.
Yes. Standard widths range from 10 mm to 300 mm, with maximum slit widths up to 560 mm. PE cores, 3-inch cores, or release-paper constructions and longer roll lengths are available upon request.
Yes. The tape complies with Japan’s Food Sanitation Act Amendment effective June 1, 2020, making it suitable for applications involving indirect food contact, such as packaging and sealing equipment.
No. Chukoh advises against medical or direct human-contact use. Always observe relevant regulations and dispose of the product per local guidelines.
Chukoh recommends using the tape within 12 months of manufacture. Before application, inspect a sample for adhesive consistency, uniform thickness, and absence of discoloration or cracks.
While both use PTFE-impregnated glass cloth, the FR version features enhanced silicone adhesive for higher peel strength, lower friction, and superior chemical-resistance properties compared to the standard AGF-100.
