The SAS-3000 is a compact benchtop dry-heat sterilizer designed to raise sample temperature rapidly to 500 °C or 825 °C. It’s ideal for sterilizing glassware, metal tools, and heat-resistant materials in laboratories, medical facilities, and industrial settings.
The unit offers two fixed sterilization temperatures—500 °C and 825 °C—that can be selected via its front-panel switch for different levels of microbial inactivation and material treatment.
The SAS-3000 achieves 825 °C in roughly 20 minutes from ambient temperature, allowing fast turnaround for multiple sterilization or annealing cycles.
The internal chamber measures φ14 mm by 140 mm depth, accommodating small flared tubes or similarly sized items. Its overall footprint is 100 × 185 × 180 mm, making it easy to fit on standard workbenches.
Two variants exist: the Japanese model runs on 100 VAC 50/60 Hz with a 3-pin plug, while the international version is wired for 220 VAC 50/60 Hz using the same plug style. No special transformer is needed beyond the correct outlet and wiring.
A simple selector on the control panel toggles between the two temperature presets. The device will then automatically ramp up to the chosen setpoint.
The SAS-3000 incorporates thermal fuses and an over-temperature cut-off sensor to prevent runaway heating. An interlock mechanism stops the heater if the chamber door is opened at temperatures above 100 °C, and an audible alarm indicates the end of each cycle.
Leave the sterilizer to cool completely before cleaning. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Inspect the power cord and plug for damage periodically. No internal user-serviceable parts are exposed—any sensor calibration or major repairs should be performed by authorized technicians.
The SAS-3000 meets CE and RoHS directives for electrical safety and environmental compliance. Regional certificates such as CSA or UL may apply depending on the distributor.
Common accessories include stainless-steel sample holders, ceramic stands to insulate items from direct chamber walls, and custom flared tube racks. Some distributors also offer a data-logging module for temperature monitoring.
The standard price is approximately USD 329.94, contact QTE Technologies (qtetech.com/en).
